Mr. beefy's redux

Visited this establishment last evening in response to a radio ad. I should have known that was nothing more than a relocation of the same failed Mr. Beefy's from Navarre Avenue. I could tell by the signage. It really is nothing more than a loud bar without the smokers. The seating is worse than primative and poorly designed. The heights of the booth seats from the floor are ok, if you happen to be 6'-4. Any less and your feet dangle. The table was home made out of dimentional lumber and the wrong finish was used so it was sticky. Unappealing.

The food was average. After a drink or two you might think it was good. Way, way too much food. No burgers under 1/2 a pound. One appitizer could feed four. Nothing exceptional in taste though. The one shining star was the rolls. Served with an olive tapenad. Somethong that Toledo eat-outers might not be accustomed to. Nice touch.

Looks like the owners heart is in the right place with much memorabelia devoted to civil servents. Kind of like that. Makes a marketing deal of how part of your bill goes to support such things as Freedom Flight. A program that takes WWII vets on day trips to DC to see the WWII memorable. Much appreciated jesture. However you could ask youself if the owner is meerly exploiting some of the current Partiotic feelings so common now a days.

So, I guess if you are a slightly deaf, 200 pound, broad at the shoulder, narrow at the hip firefighter in search of a beer and LOTS of food and girls waiting on you in "Daisy-Dukes", this might be a place for you.

For me, I like a little more cleanlyness, comfort, tastier vittles and i'm soooo over Daisy.
