Provided by YP.comTook small lawn mower in for repair - ready in less than 24 hrs at reasonable price. It cranked but died again - returned to shop and they repaired again without additional charge. Running well now - staff was fast, polite and prices were fair. I would recommend Fixit Shop to others.

Provided by YP.comI brought my riding mower in for repairs and a tuneup at the end of the season last year (September 2011) I spent nearly $200 and at the time was very happy with the Fixitshop and their staff. However, the next time I went to use my mower it would not start. I put new gas in it, checked the connections, nothing. I called the shop and spoke to someone who said he would give me a discount on picking the mower up and fixing it and that he would call me back later that day to let me know when they would pick it up. No phone call. I called back the next day and spoke to someone who was very short when he answered the phone. I explained the situation to him and he said they would come pick the mower up but would charge me at least $40 to get it and i'd have to put down a $50 deposit on it. The shop is less than two miles from my home. When I asked him to work with me because the mower worked when I brought it in and now won't even start I was informed that "it is unreasonable for you to expect me to fix something like that that's that far out of warranty. It's just ridiculous." I'm a very polite person and being spoke to like that from someone who is supposed to be a businessman is unacceptable. He was rude and confrontational. Doing a little research I'm apparently not the only person who has had a similar problem with them being unwilling to fix their own mistakes. On top of that when I went to pay them the first time they hadn't done all that I asked them to do so they had to keep it longer. I paid for the work and they delivered the mower to my house. They then called me and said they had forgotten to charge me for something and I graciously went back up to their office that day and paid what they had forgotten to charge me for. Now i'm wishing I had the same attitude that they do. Once they got paid, customer service went out the door. NEVER take anything to them that you want to work when you get it back. Fair warning, BEWARE!
