Dr. Arthur Jordan Jr. is a third generation eye doctor, following his grandfather, Dr. James S. Jordan, and father, Dr. Arthur J. Jordan. Dr. Jordan practices at our Scranton and Peckville offices. Dr. Jordan is a graduate of Scranton Central High School and received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Scranton in 1991. He went on to earn his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. He served his internship at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Hospital in Binghamton, New York. During his internship, he was a clinical assistant professor for the internal medicine department. He also completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and served as chief resident from 1998 to 1999. Dr. Jordan is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with special interests that include cataract surgery, glaucoma, and neuro-ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Lackawanna County Medical Society. He is also a board member of the Lackawanna Lupus Society and the Lackawanna Association for the Blind.
