We thought you should be aware of our experience with Silver Ridge Custom Homes, Inc. at 30 N. 7 Y Drive, Payson
(Rye), AZ 85541
The delivery person was very friendly and eager to please us (the customer). However, the President (Dave Knauer)
was very unfriendly and he was not willing to help us (the customers) with any questions we had. When we tried to
resolve a situation in a professional and friendly manner, Dave Knauer was angry and in a rude voice said, "I have to
go!! I have only 20 minutes to make it to the bank!! I should have never answered the phone!!!"
The blocking and detailed anchoring system that was shown on the plans (on Graceland's plans and then stamped by
the city of Payson) was not used. In other words, the detailed plan showed 16" x 16" x 4" concrete pads were to be
placed under the building and they were not placed under the building upon delivery. After it was delivered and then
inspected by the city of Payson, it failed inspection, because what was shown on the original plans (provided by
Graceland) was not what we received.
When we called Dave Knauer, he also said, "You were supposed to provide the concrete block" (details that we feel
should have been discussed with us before the building was delivered). Even though these (Concrete pads) are what is
shown on their original plans as part of the product we should have received. If Dave Knauer, Denise, or Michelle Miller
from Silver Ridge Custom Homes in Payson (Rye) would have told us before the building was delivered, we could have
had the concrete pads in place BEFORE the building was delivered. Now, we have the responsibility to find someone
to try and "lift" the building, and place the concrete pads underneath the building. We are very dissatisfied with the
customer service we received. It was an awful experience and we felt we were misled
and mistreated.

our experience with silver ridge was everything but good. We had to wait 3 months from the date we were told to move in. they need to get local contractors and not be so slow in getting work done. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Buyer beware! Our experience in buying a home through Silver Ridge Custom Home in Rye, AZ was horrendous. Dave Knauer (President and salesman) lied to us and treated us very disrespectfully. In addition, he made several mistakes that cost us significantly more money. I strongly suggest that you buy from another dealer--NOT Silver Ridge!
