I walked into the store last Monday with my daughter looking for a sweet 15 dress and while the attendee initially seemed very friendly and eager to help, things quickly took a sharp turn. I'll explain..



I explained that although my daughter liked short dresses I wanted to have her try on several traditional puffy long dresses, so that she can experience fancier dresses before selecting a short one. The lady that helped us said she had to wait for her boss to return from the bank before she could bring some long puffy dresses from the back room stock, and I gladly waited.



When we were in the dressing room trying on a short dress, the owner walked in and informed us that since I was not going to buy now, and according to her she didn't have the colors my daughter like she would not take out the dresses from the stock room. She instructed me to go to the web site and view the dresses even though I explained that I wanted to view and try the styles she had in stock. No matter how many times I insisted that I already spent a lot of time online researching and was ready to try some on and subsequently buy, she was firm and did not help me any more. She left my daughter and I in the dressing room.



I can't understand how she was able to figure out that I was not willing to buy. I feel that she profiled me based on race and perhaps my attire ( I was wearing gym cloths). She lost my business which included a total of 4 dresses (daughter, mom, grandma and sister's dress). If you are looking for a store that will work with you as you decide what to buy, and be supportive and offer multiple styles, THIS IS NOT YOUR STORE. Instead, if you want to be profiled, mistreated and abused this is the store for you.
