they advertised $9.99 3 gallon hibiscus in the sunday houston chronicle and on their marque in front of the business but we got there sunday morning and was told they were out of the $9.99 3 gallon hibiscus, they just had the $29.99 3 gallon hibiscus, when we tried to talk to the manager about this his understanding of English seemed to fade away. when I called corporate, the lady that answered the phone told me "to do what I want" and hung up on me

The manager was very rude ask the manager if i could have my son pick the tree up in half an hour he said rudely No
.I work with people every day and i would never treat any one that way.By the way i had alredy paid for that
tree with my credit card no less. hope my refund was posted back to my account needless to say i will never visit that
store again. he also refused to speak to me.

Buyer beware - If I were allowed to select zero stars, I would!! Will never give this place my business and will advise friends and family to avoid shopping here. Purchased overpriced pots without realizing their "All Sales Final, No Refunds, No Exchanges" policy. Was told I could call main office to try and plead my case. What a waste of my time, person answering phone was RUDE and unconcerned about customer service. As a consumer, I will take my money and business to Lowes, Home Depot or Wal-Mart from now on!!! Most places will also take a coupon from a mobile device, this place does NOT! Get with the times Houston Gardens!!!

I've bought plants at Houston Garden Center in Pasadena, 3600 E. Sam Houston Pkwy South. I've never had a problem. I raise Monarchs. I tried supplementing their feeding with milkweed I bought from this location. About 30 caterpillars are now dead because of the 2 plants I fed to them. I tested it to make sure that it was the plants, and not some other outside source. When I bought the plants, I informed the salesman of what I was using them for. He said they do not use pesticide. When I spoke to a manager, she said they grow their own milkweed and they do not use pesticide. I spent almost $40 on two plants that are absolutely useless to me. They would not refund me my money, and the manager couldn't have cared less. I will NEVER shop here again, and I will continue to let everyone know about their poor business tactics of lieing to customers and stealing their money.

They sold us topsoil that killed our garden. They lie to you and break into your car while you buy their cheap crap that either dies or breaks when you bring it home. And they will not give a refund or exchange. You buy it. You are stuck with it. No matter if it kills all of yourplants. They ar very rude and do not care.

I ask the guy at the store about the quality of the really large pots. One cost 169.00 and the other was 149.00. He told me they were really well made,, I start to put the dirt and the plant in the 169.00 palm tree pot and hear this crack sound,, I look at the bottom and at the base the pot is starting to crack just from the weight of the dirt and plant..I have not added water yet. I call the store no one will answer and I get out my sales slip which reads all sales final no refund or exchanges,, I feel took, will not shop there ever again...

If I could give less than one star, I would.



In addition to having an unknowledgeable staff, they do not always honor their advertised specials. I was recently there when they had signs up advertising "1/2 off regular price". I took my selections to the register only to be told that they were not on sale, even though a "1/2 off" sign was posted next to them. After arguing with the stubborn cashier, who was not even willing to check the sign,I walked out. The plants were not worth their regular asking price. I will not be back. Ever!
