My gas fireplace was not turning off with the remote and I called Floyd S. Lee to come out to fix it. It worked for a little over 5 months, but it has the same problem again and they want to charge me another $125. Since I am having the same problem, I asked if the $125 charge can be subtracted from the price of the repair (assuming that they replace the unit) since they already charged me $125. They said that I would still need to pay it regardless and if I was not happy, I should go somewhere else to get my fireplace fixed. This is not right. They should stand behind their work and at least credit me the $125 in labor if they come out and find that they need to replace the automatic pilot kit, transmitter and receiver.
