This place was amazing! I decided to try something in the neighborhood after a long run and I was more than pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. The place was clean as well.

My husband and I had our first chocolate con churros in Spain a couple years ago at the famous Chocolateria San Jines. I thought I'd have to fly back to Spain to experience that scrumptious dessert. And now we find it in Pasadena?! We are so happy to discover Amara, its delicious desserts at a reasonable price (6 churros and hot chocolate for $7.05), and the amazing and comfortable ambience. Tonight they had a live guitarist/vocalist and sitting here on the couch in front of candlelit tables was the perfect way to end the night out. I'll come back again and again!

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, and really passionate and friendly owners and staff. Very unique flavors and food combinations that you can't find anywhere else. Definitely a gem, everyone should try it!

Try the arepa and churros with chocolate - simply delicious
