Jon Lammle shot his first bow when he was about 25 and he was hooked. It wasnt long before it became a favorite pass time and soon a passion. He started his adventure when in 1989 a small sporting goods store in Parkers Prairie decided to close down. He purchased all of the archery supplies so that he and his friends would have a place to get arrows and so that he could work on the bows when needed. He set up his equipment in the back room of his current family business Parkers Auto Body. It wasnt long before word spread and people were bringing their bows to Jon to fix. Soon he was selling bows and needed a larger location. Today Jon is joined by his daughter Susan in the family business and Prairie Archery has far out grown the back room of Parkers Auto Body. It is now located in a 1,950 sq. ft. building which part of it holds a 20 yards shoot area, they are also preparing for another expansion. Along with doing repairs they now carry a large variety of bows including Mathews, Mission, Hoyt, BowTech, Parker, TenPoint, as well as a full range of accessories. They are known in the area as the Bow Tuning Specialist.
