My style of therapy is engaging, affirming and growth-promoting In sessions we will plant and nourish seeds that you will cultivate between sessions by applying insights gained and knowledge acquired through our therapeutic process. For example, I frequently offer practice activities, including exercises to try, YouTube videos to watch, articles to read, etc. to work on between sessions so you can create powerful changes in a relatively short time. I specialize in improving couples communication, healing emotional injuries, enhancing intimacy and increasing erotic desire. By providing a safe, confidential and accepting space, I help clients feel comfortable discussing difficult challenges. My empathy and creativity inspire hope and new possibilities for individuals and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, angry, alone or discouraged. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT----), Clinical Sexologist and Sex Therapist. I serve as the Arizona Section Leader for the American Association of Sex Educators, Sex Counselors and Sex Therapists (AASECT), the regulating and certifying body for professionals specializing in Sexuality. I have received extensive, specialized training in Couples Therapy, Clinical Sexology and Sexuality. Additionally I have completed three externships and a year-long advanced training program in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). I am member of several leading organizations including: The American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), The Arizona Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, (AAMFT) The Society for Sex Therapy and Research (SSTAR), The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS), and The International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH)
