Avoid !

Do not leave your family members alone in this facility, better yet bring them somewhere else. We took a tour, they showed us a nice room, upon arrival my mom was put in a different dingy old dirty room ( we litterally killed two bugs ) with lots of broken furniture. After demanding a new room we were moved however my mom went a whole night with no medication because of the admission late at night. There are only 4 rns per 75 pts. The CNAs are lazy. We waited so long for assistance after the call light on I would often go in the hallway and have to go find a CNA and even then we just did most of the caring for my mother. The nurses seem uneducated and would walk in with a hand full of pills they didnt even know what they were. They were negligent and wouldnt even check my mothers blood pressure before giving her a medication for HER BLOOD PRESSURE. The only good part is the marian joy therapy. The OT/PT/Speech was VERY good helpful and dedicated. If you break your leg and are mostly independent then this place might be ok for the therapy, but if you have a sick loved one who needs attention, DO NOT bring them here. They will get worse due to the poor care.

do not rely on this place to care for your loved one

my sister went to Providence twice.First time she loved it and the second time she just wanted to leave as soon as she could.Complained that the food was awful and she was neglected.Took a nurse/helper 15 to 30 mins to help her when she would call for help verbally and pushing the button to let them know she needed help. She was dependent on people for she was disabled. She got depressed being there. Dont bother with this place. This place played a part in her death because of the negligence and wrong medical treatments. They did not care if she ate or not. They forgot about her after taking her outside for fresh air and took them a long time to realize she was still outside. That place is either over working the employees or under staffed but that is no excuse for horrible treatment of the ones that stay at this location.

DO NOT SEND YOU FAMILY MEMBER HERE!

They treat people poorly, ignore them, they are mean and nasty, food is lukewarm, consatant alarms going off, the REHAB section is GREAT but unfortunatly you have to stay in this place to get the 2 hours of rehab, DO NOT GO HERE!! It is a bad place. We took mom out after 7 days, the nurse said last night"suck it up honey" after she asked for medication
