At Health First, our Wound Management program offers patients with chronic wounds a unique opportunity to be treated by a multi-disciplinary team, which includes local independent podiatrists, neurologists, internal medicine physicians, and general surgeons who collaborate to help patients heal properly. Our experienced team works together to ensure the development of an individual treatment plan for each patient based on the type of wound and its underlying cause. Our goal is to help our patients' wounds heal so patients can avoid serious wound complications, while also resuming the lifestyle and activities they enjoyed before developing chronic wounds. Our services can be accessed by direct patient referral. We also offer state-of-the-art hyperbaric services eight-person, multi-place chamber at our Palm Bay facility. Hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) has been demonstrated to assist in healing conditions including non-healing diabetic wounds, soft-tissue or bone infections, and radiation tissue damage. HBO may also be used for the primary treatment of diseases such as decompression sickness in SCUBA divers, arterial gas embolism, and carbon monoxide poisoning. Health First Wound Management -- a unique approach to the common problem of chronic wounds.
