They have everything you could ever want! I see something new every time - they have a great mix of exclusive boutique gear and big name basics (Fender, Gibson, etc.) and accessories. The staff is incredibly cool to work with, very friendly and knowledgeable about the gear they carry but not at all overbearing. The environment is ideal for trying out instruments (the large classrooms in the back are perfect for really hearing yourself play) and there is plenty of space to settle in, enjoy a cup of coffee, and relax. They are certainly giving the older stores a run for their money and we are SO LUCKY to have this place in the Twin Cities. It is a huge shop, including the lesson program and the repair areas, but still offering amazing service. Other perks: exclusive parking lot out front, anything from a car to tour bus can fit; lowest prices are guaranteed; they immediately take care of any questions / concerns; family owned, so you are supporting a local business that CARES.

This store has a great reputation, and rightfully so. The Twin Cities is lucky to have American Guitar & Band! It is one of the most extraordinary music stores in the country. Family-owned and operated, with an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, they have an amazing selection of gear for every level of player (including the best selection of high-end gear around) as well as an impressive roster of teachers for all instruments as well as voice lessons. Repairs on are site too, with a coffee bar to lounge in while you wait and a store dog to keep you company. This is a great one-stop shop with no attitude, just great gear, information, and attention to customer service. There is a lot of enthusiastic buzz about AG&B and they live up to it.
