Ptarmigan Ridge Intermediate is an educational center that has an annual enrollment of 495 students in grades three through five. It maintains a guidance and counseling department that assists students with anger management, grief and loss, and academic, personal and family problems. Ptarmigan Ridge Intermediate has a staff of over 40 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes librarians, special educators, guidance counselors, instructional assistants, classroom teachers, and occupational and physical therapists. The school is a part of the Orting School District, which serves nearly 2,100 students in four schools. Ptarmigan Ridge Intermediate has been operational for more than five years and is located in Orting, Wash.
