Poor customer service, rude.

Dave's locksmith is a GREAT resource, but only if you are a sentient human being who is capable of doing simple arithmetic and can breathe without being reminded. I went in today, handed Dave a key ring of all Honda motorcycle keys, and requested a duplicate be made. There were no issues, because I was smart enough to tell him which one I wanted duplicated. He duplicated my antique motorcycle keys with my supplied blank literally within seconds, and had me on my way. I have been going to Dave's ever since I moved to Orlando. It is about a 30 minute drive for me, but it is worth it, because Dave is the ONLY locksmith I know of in the area that is confident enough to cut customer supplied OEM keys. He possesses a great degree of knowledge on antique vehicle lock systems, and was the only one who could inspect my lock cylinders from my '64 Corvair and cut new keys from the codes, and he knew that '64 was the last year that all the locks were keyed alike, so I didn't have to bring in the other lock cylinders. He even had the GM correct original '64 key blanks in stock! I was amazed. Don't let silliness sway you. If it has a lock or a tumbler, Dave is the guy to go to!

STAY AWAY FROM DAVE's LOCK & KEY. When there was a problem, Dave refused to listen to me and called me Stupid! He got in my face and called me a lier and stupid! I came in to have a key cut and left being insulted and yelled at for a price of 4.63! I handed him the key and I thought he knew which one to cut. He knew it was a Toyota Key from talking to him. I have two Toyota's and he cut the wrong key. After going outside to test it out I realized that the key didn't work and went back in. Dave told me that I handed him the wrong key and that it was my mistake and he wasn't going to make a new key. I wasn't trying to call him a lier, but I was trying to explain my side of the story. I told him that good business is that the customer is always right. That's when he got all upset and in my face,"not if the customer is stupid." I was floored and asked, "are you are calling a customer stupid?" He said, "I'm calling you stupid!" He seemed bent out of shape over who's mistake it was and where blame should be placed. No concern for the customer at all. Avoid Dave's Lock and Key!!
