He set to work right away and carefully moved furniture and any stray belongings out of the way. All floors were covered and walls sanded and repaired. The condition of the walls was good but now it is perfect. The quality of his work is flawless, without brush strokes or uneven edges. It is hard to find fine workmanship and NO DRIPS ANYWHERE. Bob also cleaned up the workspace and put everything back. We will use him again and again.

I spent a good 4 hours attempting to strip the wallpaper in the room myself. I've had plenty of experience with wallpaper in the past and this stuff did not want to come down. Bob was quick to provide an estimate and once we chose his company, he was extremely fast in completing the job. I was very impressed with the work he did and he was very friendly and no one could beat the price. While unrelated to his service, I prefer to support a family owned operation over a large chain. Orland Painting was a perfect fit. I plan to use Bob's services again for another room in the upcoming months.

Scraped off old paint on both. Replaced rotten wood on Florida room. Caulked around all windows and along the bottom of the florida room where it is in contact with the deck.Member Comments: Bob Kwak(owner) was very personable, easy to talk to. He arrived as scheduled and, I explained what was needed. He gave me a price and then we discovered that some of the wood on the Florida room was rotten so, of course the price for the job was adjusted. We set the date for the work to begin(as long as it didn't rain). Bob arrived with his son in tow. They spent the whole day power washing. The previous painter I hired two years ago had not prepared the deck right so, it was quite a task to get the old paint off. They waited a couple of days for the deck to dry before they returned to scrape, patch, and sand, the deck and Florida room. The next day they painted. They returned the next day and had to sweep since the deck was now covered with leaves. They put on a second coat. It's only been a month but, I am pleased. The deck and florida room look amazing.Share on Band of Neighbors: Yes

We also asked him to repair some plaster damage in the dining room. The entire process took 3 days. He brought a worker to help on days 2 & 3.Member Comments: They took it down to the lathe strips. The house was built in 1916, so this wasn't drywall. Bob restored the plaster layer by layer, even taking care to minimize a belly in the ceiling so that it's barely visible now. Old houses, what can I say? We were so pleased that we asked for an estimate to fix another area in the dining room where the plaster was flaking away. The estimate was reasonable, so we agreed, and Bob took care of it right then. The $1,000 included the original Angie's list special of $399, plus slightly over $100 for materials (Bob bought the things he needed for the job and gave us the receipt), an additional charge of just over $400 because the job was way more than the Angie's list deal offer (minor plaster repair and 16 hours of labor) and about $100 for the other repairs in the dining room plaster. Both rooms look so much better now. What also impressed me was how quickly Bob contacted me after I bought the Angie's list deal and how quickly he scheduled his visit. The whole thing was done within a week. It was such a relief ... that horrible ceiling finally repaired and no drama. Bob did show up a half an hour later than expected one day and didn't call to let us know he was running late, something my husband said he would never have done when he was installing, but that wasn't a big deal in the end. So a B+ for punctuality. My husband used to be in the building trades, and he told me that finding someone who can do plastering like Bob does isn't that easy anymore, since new houses don't use plaster. Bob did the job right! We are very pleased with the final results. We would definitely contact Bob again if we needed plaster work.Share on Band of Neighbors: Yes

My home looks better than ever!Bob and his partner John arrived on-time (7:30a) to paint my kitchen, side entry wall, a bedroom wall, a front room wall, and ceilings in each; and repair a number of drywall cracks. I am very pleased with not only the result of OP&D's work, but their skill and attention to preparing/covering the working area and their polite/responsible professional attitude. Using his mobile supplier was a time/money saver; communication was responsive.Further, they efficiently used their time and paid great attention to detail. They did an exceptional job repairing a number of drywall cracks and imperfections, giving my home a much-needed facelift. They also thoroughly cleaned the work area prior to departing.I had a bit more work (~2 hours) than the time provided in the coupon, they charged fairly for the additional time.I'll contact them for future painting projects!Share on Band of Neighbors: Yes
