Lynne Thompson - Director. Received her training from the Cornish School of Fine Arts, University of Washington and British Academy of Dance. Teaching certificate from the Novikoff School of Russian Ballet. Lynne has taught 40 years and is currently on the ballet faculty at Brigham Young University. Phyllis Whitaker - trained with internationally acclaimed teachers Valentina Pereyaslavic, Anatole Vilzak, Alvin Ailey and Richard Givson. She has performed with American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, American Ballet Theater and Peninsula Ballet Theatre. She performed leading roles in the Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Don Quixote and Les Sylphides and made numerous television appearances. Carrie Wright - has performed professionally for 4 years touring all over the world. Her ballet expertise provides a challenging advanced technique class. Trained in teaching the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) or Great Britain's method. She has performed with Natalia Markarova and trained at the English National Ballet School. Lindsey Folkman - Director of the Jazz, Tap and Irish program as well as Athena Dance Company. Graduate from BYU in Dance Education. Performed with BYU Folk Dancers. Jazz Company Director. *Nathan Cottam - Soloist with Ballet Theater of Boston for 2 years, taught at Boston Ballet. Currently majoring in Ballet as a Masters Candidate at University of Arizona.
