I'm spoiled. I have a wife and mother in law that can both cook some mean mexican food, being that they are both naturals and enjoy cooking, I am spoiled. So it's a problem for me to go out and eat mexican food at a restaurant because the food in these so called restaurants doesn't usually hold a candle to what I can get at home and it's frustrating. This has been my life until I ate at Lupita's.



Where do I start? From the thin, warm salted chips and amazing salsa to the chile verde, chile colorado, carnitas (no lard) tacos, and enchiladas (yes, I've tried them all) this place is the single, hands down, best mexican restaurant in Sacramento. Lupitas isn't located in Sacramento, but I can't think of any other place in the valley that comes close. Don't get me wrong, there are many "good" mexican restaurants in Sacramento, but this one tops them all....seriously.



Lupita took the time to come to my table and greet me, enter into my heart and make me never want to leave....to say the least, this is a recommendation from me. The endless articles from the Sac bee, to Sac Mag (voted best mexican restaurant in Sacramento) posted on her walls, I can safely say I agree with the critics on this one. Go, you won't be dissapointed.
