After earning his medical degree from the University of Mysore in Mysore, India, Dr. Irfan Ahmed completed a residency in internal medicine at United Presbyterian Medical Center (UPMC) McKeesport Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA and another in radiation oncology at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. Prior to joining FCS, Dr. Ahmed cared for patients at the Multi-Specialty Group in Pensacola, FL and at the Florida Hospital in Orange City, FL. Dr. Ahmed has presented at multiple conferences, including at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa and at Florida Radiology Society Annual Meetings. In 2009, he received the 51st American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Annual Meeting Travel Grant Award. Outside of FCS, Dr. Ahmed enjoys playing tennis, kayaking, reading, biking and traveling.
