After shopping around for weeks for a like new used vehicle, we found one we really liked at Sterling's Auto in Opelousas. We pursued that vehicle. The sales guy was nice but made broken promises. They offered us an 18% interest rate. We choose to go through another bank that gave us 8%. The vehicle had a cracked windshield which sales guy promised to fix but management said it's an 'as is' & considered wholesale priced. What a joke because the price we paid was 1000$ off sticker, which was $1500 less than kbb value. But after looking for weeks & really wanting this vehicle, we still bought it. I dropped off my husband to finish paperwork but bank was closed and after some exchanges of words they let him drive home with it until bank was open next morning. The next day he had truck trouble. Tested as a bad battery & alternator. We went back to dealership and they refused to help saying it is policy they can't fix it or offer any incentives or vouchers. We were in corner, with a vehicle we wanted, weeks of shopping around, and a check to pay off vehicle. We choose to finish the deal in spite of situation. But I will never refer or recommend the dealer to anyone.
