The Warehouse Bistro, located in Opelika s oldest industrial park since 1993, is the area's best in casual fine dining. It has often been described as "a diamond in the rough and Opelika s best kept secret. Although off the beaten path, the restaurant is near and easily accessible from I-85 from exit 60. Guests enjoy dining in a cozy, friendly atmosphere from a menu featuring American and Continental cuisine, as well as nightly Chef Specials. Much emphasis is given to food presentation and meticulous service from the staff. The Warehouse Bistro, hidden in a corner of Opelika, Alabama, is a restaurant unlike any other. One would not expect to find a restaurant tucked away in this older industrial section of town, and upon arrival patrons soon realize how The Warehouse Bistro received its name. Open since Feburary 1993, The Bistro is considered to be the finest restaurant in the Auburn-Opelika area, on par with any fine restaurant from Birmingham or Atlanta. Much of that credit goes to current chef and owner, Joe Hippely. Joe, a native of Ohio, came to The Bistro in April 2000, and devoted his time and talents into making The Warehouse Bistro the best restaurant in the area. After having worked in fine restaurants since 1985, the idea of running a restaurant has always been his desire and his influence is evident at The Bistro. Joe brought his talents to The Bistro and has changed the menu, expanded the wine list, updated the dining room, added the pub, and revamped the kitchen. Joe has helped The Bistro become the restaurant it is today, and you will see it continue to improve with time.
