This issue happened on May 4, 2008 a Sunday. The incident involved the police and it was during the Cinco de Mayo Festival; I was there because I was hosting an Avon booth and had my two young cousins with me; ages 10 and 8. I returned a dish, called a huarache, because it was cold. I had eaten the edges of it, trying to see if it was all cold or just parts of it. I tried the edges because the huarache is basically a stuffed tortilla and it had two carne asadas (thin filets of steak). The waitress, Daniela, offered to reheat the dish; I replied that I did not want micowaved food. The co-owner, Maria Franko, returned with the dish asking rudely, "Who returned this dish?" Here was the first negative impression that she gave; how is she going to return to a table where there is one adult and two children and include them in that question? She started to talk very fast and agitated saying that her food was always perfect and that she invited me to go to her kitchens to see how they prepared the food. I smiled and replied that the food had come out cold and I did not like that. Maria smiled and left with the dish. When it came time to pay, I asked the waitress why she was charging me for the huarache I had returned. Daniela called Maria and Maria said, "I don't care that you did not like the food, you have to pay for it." I told her that this was not good customer service and she answered, "I don't care, you ordered the food, if you did not like it, that is your own problem." I became upset and went outside to look for a police officer when she threatened me with calling the police. The police officer told me that if I did not pay, he would file a Theft of Service report; so I asked then to have a replacement of my meal and I would pay.I did but threw away the dish in a trash can in the restaurant. I was not about to eat it after all this fiasco and the owner had been in the kitchen while it was being made.



So if you want this type of treatment if you receive poor quality food, go here!
