He was my my agent for the past few years by default, as my previous agent left. Never contacted me to review policies, though he claims he tried an old number. The only time he acting in my best interested was after I'd thought I'd transferred everything to a local agent who I can see in person(I live in Fairbury, NE, and idk where he's at and never met him in person), and he agreed to allow the policy transfer -but only after accusing my local agent of trying to steal a client away who lives hours away and who hadn't been contacted by in years. The reason we have agents is to have someone take care of us, otherwise they're pretty useless. It's one thing to be useless as an agent, but it's another to get upset and hinder the efforts of another agent who IS taking care of your client. I am just thankful he agreed to allow the transfer after I looked up his number and called him. At first he seemed uncooperative to me, too, but I made it clear that he does not want me as a client, and he finally threw in a "yes, we will get the transfer taken care of" in his argument with me. If you deal with him, you won't get and agent looking out for your best interested you will get one who looks at their own best interest.
