Custom Electronics worked with my contractor as I was building my home to install a theater room. They worked closely with me throughout the process, their prices for each item of equipment either met or beat any price I could find on the internet, and the final product has been unbelievable! Everyone who comes in and sees the picture from our projector and hears the sound from our Golden Ear sound system says it's better than going to a regular theater! We can watch cable, stream movies over the internet, or watch movies in 3D and BluRay.



Also, after looking all over to find really high quality, comfortable theater seats, we ended up purchasing the seats through Custom Electronics as well. And we have not been disappointed! They are power recliners hand made in the U.S. They use high quality leather and are EXTREMELY comfortable!



If you are looking to build a theater room from scratch or just want to upgrade your current viewing and/or listening experience, you can't go wrong with Custom Electronics!

I have been a customer of Custom Electronics for the past seven years and have had excellent service every time I have gone there. I first bought my HD TV/ monitor from them. I'm still happy with the product that they recommended. After that I decided to return to update my speakers. Tim was very knowledgeable and asked questions to make sure I was getting the best product for the room I was using them in. I have been very happy with the product suggestion he made. He had also suggested that I would be happier with the white speakers for my rear surrounds. I was set on the black. When I got them home I realized he was right and they allowed me to return them for the white ones without any problem. They always seem to keep up to date with the latest information in the industry. I always feel confident in the information they give. I went into this store because a friend recommended them, said they'd been around for like 30 years. This store in dingy and dated, they've got several demonstration rooms, most of which appeared to be in a state of disarray, products they apparently removed and didn't replace. Their theater wasn't operational, there was various projectors and products laying around, hideous curtains as a wall treatment. In general it was just gross. Apparently they do installations but if the store is any representation of the work they do I wouldn't let them in my house, it's really just a dumpy retail store. A salesperson greeted me when I first came in, then went and hid in a back room never to return. It was just a wierd experience I won't repeat.

The salesman Larry was rude when I spoke with him. He talked down to me on several occasions, and in the end the system he put in lacked features and controls that I specifically asked for. The speakers sound cheap, were sloppily painted and installed, and the lack of control I have with the system is terrible. Their installer Tim was rude and unfriendly. He often went outside to smoke and talk on his phone. I asked if there was anything wrong he told me no. I heard him say "leave me alone, f-ing dog" to my dog who was simply sniffing at his tools. I put the dog downstairs because I didn't want him around him. I tried to contact the owner several times to discuss this but he's never there when I call and has yet to return them. At this point there's nothing they can do to resolve my concerns. I will never do business with them again and I've already hired another company here in town to resolve the issues I have with the system I bought from Custom Electronics.

I have had a totally different experience at Custom from what was described by "Honest Shopper." On my first visit to Custom I was greeted kindly. I told the salesman that I lived in an apartment that I listen to jazz music, and needed a system that would sound great at lower volumes. Right a way he told me what would be the right receiver and speakers for me. When I got the system home I had some trouble getting it set up properly and I made a call to the store. The next morning my salesman stopped by my apartment and helped me with my difficulties. As I have continued to shop at Custom the last few years I have continued to get both great deals as I have upgraded my system and always have been treated like a valued customer every time in stop in the shop, and an old friend. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Custom Electronics. The sales people have good product knowledge, but they lack good customer service skills. I told the salesperson exactly what I was looking for, and he sold me a receiver. After he rung me up, he told me that it would be 10-14 days to get it.I also had them make me some wires. The kept breaking. I returned them, but not without the owner questioning my ability to plug a wire correctly into the speaker. I used to install electronics professionally, so I am confident that I wasn't doing anything wrong. After making 3 trips back into the store, they finally refunded my money.Custom Electronics is, in my opinion, very poor when it comes to dealing with customers and their needs. I would not recommend this business to anyone.
