We had a tree come down because of the wind and it took out our power line to our house. Eric came out and put a new mast up for us and got the electric hooked back up very guickly. Great, friendy service at a great price. We have made an appointment with them to come out and install a switch on our panel for a generator if we lose power in the future.

I am the owner of an insulation company and we had a mishap with some wires underneath a home and needed to get a electrical repair done quickly... Rick came right on over and checked on our problem. being a business he could have charged us up the wazzo. when he called me to let me know what the damage was he was funny and let told me we didn't do anything major. he checked everything he could think of to make sure nothing was wrong and only charged us around 90.00 just to go out. other companies would have charged us next to 200.00 dollars just for the visit. I will be using this company from now on the solve any electrical problems we might have it the future. thank you Rick.... I still owe you dinner!!!!

Ken and Rick, thank you both so much for providing my rental unit with three new cadet heaters. I received two other estimates and chose Thurston Electric because of Ken's honest, forthright, professional and qualified suggestions. He assured me that Rick was "hand-picked" and would do an excellent, proficient job. He was right! Ken is old-school, as I am, and definitely service-oriented. In short, I couldn't have been more satisfied. The renter is toasty warm and comfortable. Rick had to go into the attic and run wires to affix the three heaters in the bedrooms and living room. They were aesthetically pleasing. I was very particular about the area being clean after the installation and he was very meticulous in cleaning and removing the sheet rock dust. The City called and wanted to inspect the heaters today since a permit was ordered. In doing so, the heaters passed with flying colors and the new circuit was appropriate. Their comment to me was "this is the fifth house I have inspected today that Thurston Electric has serviced. They always do an excellent job". That sealed it for me! They will always be my electricians for my home and two rentals. Incidentally, I called Ken today to thank him for his excellent work and he was so gracious, humble and grateful. A true gentleman. Rick was so responsive to my every whim and made himself available on a moments' notice. Very impressive. Thank you again, Ken and Rick.

Needed electrical updates for an older home. Ken offered several good ideas when we met that improved on my own and made installation simpler.The work was done quickly and efficiently and was of high quality. Prices were very reasonable. Will be calling them again for any additional work that may be needed.

Ken came to my home to fix a single wire. He charged more than $150 for this, even though he showed up with an apprentice who did the actual work and it only took 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, he spent the entire time talking to some other professionals working on my home, laying out his strategy for getting a good web presence online. I'm not kidding and not making this up! He looks good online because he works to get folks to put up good reviews, but he's expensive and unpleasant to work with. I'm a woman. Maybe he works better with men? Either way, I've since hired a different company to do electrical work on my home. I would not recommend Thurston Electric.

We needed help on one of our buildings we have listed after working hours we called Ken and he had someone out there to fix it right away. I feel the job was taken care of in a professional manor, and done right. Great job we will use you again.

We are Coldwell Banker Commercial Advantage in Tacoma Wa. We needed an electrician on a building we are managing in Olympia. I called Ken in the evening he had his crew out there and it was fixed that evening with no problems I expected to be charged more for the job but I feel the charges were in line with everyday work. I have just had the pleasure of receiving superb service from Ken McClarty and the team from Thurston Electric. The work was extensive, starting at the city meter with a completely new main panel with surge protection and an additional panel for a separate living area, wiring in a generator and the appropriate circuits, and adding external circuits for a fountain and an irrigation system. This was a completely professional project that started with the appropriate permits (no under-the-table work!) and ended with an incredibly satisfied customer-for-life. Ken was open and honest, made suggestions, and offered choices at different price points. These are folks you can trust - we opened the house to them and they went to work while we went to work. Outstanding quality and outstanding trust. They have our unqualified recommendations.

I called on a Monday for a generator transfer switch to be installed. Ken educated me on a less expensive, more simpler option than what I had in mind and had it installed by Friday. His estimate was the same as the bill. His electrician made sure we started the generator and hooked it up to ensure it worked and I knew how to use the system. I will call Ken again the next time I need electrical work.

We experienced an electrical outlet that quit working in our kitchen. We were impressed by Ken's help by telephone and when James came to our home, he fixed the problem promptly and we were very satisfied. Fair pricing. We called early Monday morning and had an electrician at our door by noon. We would recommend Thurston Electric.

Just had a generator installed, the owner is AWESOME!! Nicest guy you will ever meet. His electrician is a great guy too, both provided excellent customer service and service at a fair price. Would recommend this company to my dear old grandmother!! We will use again!

And responsive too. Thurston Electric is now adopted as MY only electrician.

Our home has the old fuses(no circuit breakers) We did not have electricity in the kitchen and dining room lights. We phoned Thurston Electric and they were able to solve the problem right away!!! Great prompt service. I highly recommend this company!!!!

I have a favorite plumber and now I have a favorite electric company as well. When my power went out, I called Ken and he sent a man out who arrived 30 minutes later. The first electrician I called told me to call PSE. I don't think he really wanted to go out on a call at 5 pm. Then I randomly called Thurston Electric and Ken was wonderful; he didn't think it was going to be a PSE problem, and explained to me what he thought the problem was. Meanwhile PSE showed up, jiggled a few wires and the power went back on. Next day, no power again. I called Thurston Electric at 5:30 and James showed up 30 minutes later. The problem was in the fuse box just as Ken thought. James fixed it right away and I am a very satisfied customer!

We wanted an electrician that would respect our home as it is historical, after interviewing three electricians we felt that Thurston Electric was the one for us. They made suggestions that we did not even think about which allowed us to have electrical power during the whole job and it was only interupted when the power company switched over to the new box. It was a very professional job and we appreciate it.

I lost power to my electrical outlets in my garage while having a window replaced by my contractor. He referred me to Ken at Thurston Electric. Ken's technician came out quickly and arrived right on the appointed time. He had the problem resolved and fixed within the hour. While he was there I asked if he could install a new porch light I had purchased the day before. Not only did he do an excellent job, he got the permit himself so I did not have to. And his price for the entire job was far less that I would have paid some of those other big companies. I heartily recommend Thurston Electric for any electrical needs!!!
