Formed in 1981, Estuary Transit District is a provider of local and coordinated public transportation. Located in Old Saybrook, Conn., it operates four flexible routes (fixed stops with deviations) throughout the region, providing connection to New Haven, New London and Middletown. The district provides Shoreline, Niantic and Mid Shore Express shuttle services. Estuary Transit District makes available nine town buses for public transportation to everyone, regardless of age or disabilities. Moreover, it offers Transit or Dial-A-Ride service and public transit service via the fleet of 13 buses.
