First I would like to say I have been shopping at RadioShack for over 25 Years. I have always been treated well and have never had trouble with a return item until now. I went to my local store #01-9484 on Saturday March 7, 2009 I purchased a new unopened Zoombak item #2000325. I should have known this sale was doomed from the beginning when it took 3 different salesmen to unlock the device from the wall lock, then try to figure out how to remove it from the security box. Well they finally did 30 minutes later. I got home followed the Zoombak directions to register the device. I kept getting an error on the Zoombak website saying the code is not valid. I called Zoombak customer care and it seems one of the salesmen at RadioShack had activated the code and device. Zoombak cannot transfer or reactivate a device that had or was already activated. So back I go to my local store. I explained to the original salesman what the problem was, he actually giggled when I told him what Zoombak had told me. He also said well maybe that they had mistakenly activated the device. Anyway he issued the refund to my American Express, since they had no other Zoombaks in stock. Then took both receipts the sale and return stapled them together put them in a drawer and said it will be like this never happened. I asked can I please have a copy of the refund receipt he said NO, I asked again, He replied No again. I asked why, he sad because we don't give copies of voided receipts. I asked again can I please have a copy for my records, He said NO. I finally said very loudly Please make me a copy of the refund receipt. He looked at me funny and finally made me a copy handed it to me then turned his back to me. Not once did he even say sorry for the trouble. Needless to say I will never go back to that RadioShack.
