We chose a wood-look tile and wanted a dark brown grout for a seamless look. Bill, our salesman, brought out a color he said Teresa, his assistant, had chosen for us, which was a dark gray, and then he corrected himself and said that was another customer's color who had the same tile. He then showed me the color choices, and I selected a chocolate brown. Upon drying, we realized a gray grout was installed. My husband went into the store to discuss the problem and was told they installed the color I chose with Teresa. (I never talked to Teresa to choose the color -- only Bill.) My husband was given one small card of colors to take home to discuss with me, none of which had a chocolate brown color. Upon returning the next day with my husband to ask for more colors, Teresa was extremely rude and literally threw them upon her desk. All in all, communication, organization, and truthfulness are not Metro Flooring’s forte.

I understand you were not happy with the grout color that was installed with your tile. As soon as you brought the problem to our attention my immediate response was simply “come pick another color and we will fix the issue”. I explained that we will color the grout with an acrylic grout sealant that will both permanently change the color of the grout and seal it at the same time. I spoke with your husband several times over the course of the next week while you reselected your grout color. Every time I spoke to your husband, I stressed that we would make sure you were happy with the final product. Your final selection was a chocolate brown from Mapei, a different product line than we had originally shown you. We immediately ordered the colorant and scheduled the repair for 1-29-16. I spoke with your husband the morning of 2-1-16 to make sure the repair had gone well. He said you both were very happy with the final product. We have changed our policy on grout selection to ensure that everyone involved, including the customer, understands which grout has been selected with which tile to eliminate any confusion. We apologize for any inconvenience you have gone through during this process and want you to know that your satisfaction with your flooring was always our goal.
