I purchased a side by side refrigerator originally from this shop for $150. I was moving into a new home and also bought an electric stove, washer, and dryer from them. I spent $814.69 Fir everything. Not a month later, the fridge stopped working. Thankfully the freezer was still working and I stuck my milk and a couple other items that I could fit in there. Called the shop and let them know. They told me they couldn’t be out to fix it until the next day. I asked if it would be possible to “buy up” since the loaner fridge they were going to give to me wouldn’t have enough room. They said it would be possible. So they brought me a Samsung side by side fridge that I paid $284 dollars more for.

Not two weeks later, on the 5th of July at 6am, I check the fridge and it is NOT cold, in fact it’s warm. I had not been home all day on the 4th of July. I freak out. I contact the store immediately and let them know it is not working at all. Tobey was out of the shop during these days. I spoke with Eric and he was very apologetic about the situation and said they would be willing to give a refund. I told him that I have two kids and I had hundreds of dollars worth of food that I had to throw out because of the unreliable refrigerator.

It had been nearly a week before they came to pick up the fridge and give a refund. I received a $320 check, when I paid $434.50 total for the refrigerator. I called and spoke to Tobey, who might I add was very dry, impersonal and quite frankly, rude, asking why I had not received a full refund. She let me know that they keep 20% for refunds and that it was a courtesy and the only reason I even got a refund was, “To be done with it.”

All in all, I had 2 refrigerators break on me and food go bad both times, the second time being more detrimental. I am a single mother who has two young children who depend on me. So thank you for kicking me when I was down, when I had done nothing but be kind and supportive of your business. Shame on you.

Went in to purchase a new refrigerator as mine was on it's last leg or so I thought. Before Tobey would show me any refrigerator she asked me what was wrong with mine. I told her and she said while she would love to sell me a refrigerator I could fix mine for less than $50.00. Told me the part to buy and how to fix it. You can't get more honest than that!! The building is clean, nicely lit and customer service was excellent!! I will be back to buy a garage box and any other appliance I need to replace.

I purchased a washer and dryer set and within a couple weeks the washer had quit working. I called the store and they honored their warranty with absolutely no problems. My washer and dryer are currently still working great. If I ever need anything else this will be the place I go!

The Problem:

I purchased a very nice refrigerator with some very small (almost unnoticeable blemishes), everything worked while it was in the store, and I was told I have a 90 day policy.



After delivery and set up, the freezer was not cooling and both ice makers stopped working and then they brought a loaner and took my refrigerator to repair.



The Ugly:

When you call the store for updates on your item being repaired, they are back and forth, whoever answers gives whatever knowledge they may have off the top of their head, inconsistent information, poor customer service, poor communication, no ability to schedule pick/drop off effeciently.



The Good:

They do follow up, they back their product, Tobey ( the daughter) is very nice, follows up, does her best, and it seems like they are making an effort to have some customer service.



Follow up on Previous Review:

To the person with the roaches - For all the horrified reviewers, I did not have any problems with bugs of any type.

ROACHES!!! ROACHES!!! ROACHES!!! ROACHES!!! ROACHES!!! ROACHES!!! My 6 month pregnant wife and I purchased a fridge in early November after we were told that all of their appliances are thoughly cleaned and serviced. It was a nice looking fridge and it looked clean in the store. We went grocery shopping later in the evening and when we went home and opened the fridge we saw ROACHES! We pulled the drawers, shelves, and light cover out and behind them we saw ROACH FECES! This was apparent in the fridge, the freezer, and the ice maker. For those of you that are looking for a used appliance I am begging you to be weary of places like Country Applianes. Find a clean and well lit establishment. This fridge came from a severely infested home as roaches do not like the cold and go inside the fridge as a last resort when the rest of the home's hiding places are too crowded. Our suggestion is to make sure that you look in inconspicuous areas inside the fridge for ROACHES and fecal matter. Also avoid the fridges that are plugged in. More than likely, they are plugged in to keep ROACHES from entering the fridge while it is being shown to customers. As embarrassing as it is, two weeks later we are now battling ROACHES in every room in the house. We moved into our house a month before buying the fridge and didn't have any ROACHES where we moved from. I have called them three times to come and get the fridge. They sent someone out to "spray" the fridge and the kitchen. Two weeks later we have not seen a single dead bug, but we have seen plenty of live ones of all sizes. No one, especially children, should not become victims of what businesses like this do to make a few extra dollars. They saw my pregnant wife and my business suit. We do not live like this. I am sorry that we purchased from Country Appliances.

I'm very pleased with this business! I was referred here by another used appliance shop that was out of refrigerators. The appliances were all in wonderful condition- no blemishes, very clean, and very reasonably priced. The owner was very helpful and knowledgable and let us put a down payment on our fridge to hold it until we moved. I will definitely go back if needed and will refer friends here! An added bonus is my 60 day parts and service warranty!

The woman answering the phone has a severe lack of customer service etiquette. i will no longer take my money, or my business to this location. Quite frankly, i am concerned with the owners professional mannerisms and his or her ability to provide a professional experience. I suggest training the employees answering the phones in customer service etiquette. First impressions are always the hardest to overcome, and it left a bitter taste in my mouth for this company.
