Oil City Catholic Church was established in 1864. Encompassing a vast history spanning the last two centuries. In 1898, the territory of the parish was divided in half, with Saint Stephen Parish being erected on the south side of the Allegheny River and Saint Joseph Parish remaining on the north side. St. Stephens also has St. Stephen's School ages K-8th grade. In Oil City were welcoming All People to our Catholic Community In the Heart of Venango County.
