Needing a new transmission is not piece of cake. You come to a decision as to whether you want to keep your car or you want to fix it and get what seems nothing out of it, except it gets you to and from work again. I like my older car as I dont to buy collision insurance just liability cause the cars paid off. I guess thats what everybody has to decide when he or she come to the point if getting a transmission replace in your vehicle. I knew this was not going to be an inexpensive repair so I check around to various places that could fix my Nissan. Check out the Dealer in Ogden Ken Garff, nice and good folks but way to expensive. So I call around to all the other transmissions shops in Ogden and Clearfield area and after all the calls I ended up at Tanner. When all was said and done I put in a new or re-built transmission, got a good warranty was out of my ride for only three days and got for what I know was a good price. $2,385.00. I check around everywhere. Ive had my car back

I Had A Very Good Experience at Tanner Transmissions. I was in a position of needing a transmission in my 2002 Mazda MPV rebuilt. After going to the dealers Dillon, Freeway and Bountiful Mazda, them wanting more than $5000 for a transmission. It was more than I could afford and so I started calling various transmission companies and shops. I chose Tanner because after my inquiry of cost, etc. I was so totally calm because Blaine (the Owner who was in covering for his manager that week who was deer hunting) was very complete in his description of what needed to be done, what he could do for me and a cost that was less than half of what the dealers had quoted me. He explained everything in simple terms that I could understand Tanner Transmissions was very quick in arranging for my car to be towed from the dealer their shop. The work took a little longer than expected because as it turned out it was more than a rebuild, but also needed a computer chip. That's why the 4 stars as opposed 5.

Honest Good People. Just took my 2007 Ford Van in for a transmissions problem, took the time to troubleshoot before jumping into a whole new transmission. Ended up not needing a new transmission, Tanner took the time to show me the damaged parts and expedited the repair. Got my van back the very next day. Nothing fun about spending big $$$$ on a transmission repair, so you might as well do it at a place that you find trustworthy, extremely knowedgeable, and above all else very courteous.

Tanner asks us to give them a review. Had our 1997 Toyota 4X4 transmission replaced at Tanners. They gave us a good price $1,700.00 it only took 1 day. I would recommend them to anyone. It's been about six month since we had the transmission replaced and it run?s fine. Nobody like to spend allot car repairs but, it's allot cheaper than a new car.
