I am a new resident of Oak Harbor, and I called to set up a new patient appointment. The receptionist was very rude and unhelpful with any question I had. I suggest putting someone who is QUITE friendlier to answer phones; as this is a place where sick, scared people are going and the last thing they need is someone snapping at them on the other line.

This is the first time ive ever been admitted to a hospital in my life with a life threatening diagnosis. I recently found out i have deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. I have a hard enough time breathing let alone talking. So when I tried to make my appointment with North Whidbey Comminuty Clinic I was instantly nagged at to speak up. I physically couldnt. I didnt have anyone around to help me at the moment and I was feeling discouraged and pressured. I am scared enough as it is with these newly discovered health problems, and the receptionist Tamara did absolutely nothing to make me feel comfortable. Quite the opposite actually. She was extremely impatient with me and rose her voice. Reception is a joke and I will never come here again and I will be telling family and friends. Until you get new receptionists or send your current girls back to preschool for basic human interaction lessons and how to play nice, i dont think anyone will regard your clinic as professional or worth it.
