We initially signed with Home Depot for granite counters. There cost spiraled north of $4200.

I searched the internet and found Supreme Kitchens in Novi. The owner Mark came out within an hour of the call.

His suggestions were:

1. Go with a laminate instead of granite. Granite will make the rest of the kitchen look old and dated. He was more than willing to install the granite if we wanted.

2. Get rid of the cabinet over counter, and move the large cabinet next to the sink.

3. Replace the dishwasher; get one to match our other appliances.

We didn’t need a plumber. Mark did the entire job including installing a new dishwasher and reinstalling the disposal. He did it all within a few days after signing the contract.

The final cost was less than half the cost of our original granite plan, including a new sink, faucet, and dishwasher.

We are very pleased; we have what feels like a whole new kitchen, and once again have a contractor we can trust.
