OK, so they closed today because of the statewide stay-at-home order, which started today, due to the coronavirus situation. I get that. Unfortunately for me, I was scheduled to pick up my dry cleaning today. But they're closed, and there's no way to contact anybody at this cleaners! Nobody answers the phone. There's no answering machine to leave messages on. There's no website and no email address. There's not even a paper note taped to the door to tell customers what's going on, or how to schedule a pickup or delivery. I'd be glad to schedule a time to come in and pick up my order, or arrange for a delivery, but there's absolutely no way to do that. Does this mean they are able to steal nine expensive shirts and one sweater from me? Or hold them for weeks or months until the governor lifts the stay-at-home order?

The coronavirus pandemic is hard on everybody, and I do want to be understanding and supportive. I'm a long time customer, and the lady I usually deal with here is very nice. But businesses have a responsibility in times like this to COMMUNICATE with their customers, at least on a minimal, basic level. Like, HOW I CAN GET MY DRY CLEANING ORDER! I need those shirts!
