Established in 1972, Midwestern Connecticut Council on Alcoholism Inc. (MCCA), is a provider of substance abuse prevention, evaluation and treatment services in the greater Danbury Connecticut area. It offers various programs and services, such as public awareness/prevention services, employee assistance programs, intensive day and evening outpatient, treatment groups, judicially mandated treatment and engagement programs for seniors, women s recovery programs, family forums and outreach services. The organization is licensed by the State of Connecticut and credentialed by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Midwestern Connecticut Council on Alcoholism Inc. (MCCA) is also an affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD).
