Corvallis Middle School offers a technology program and art classes to students in grades six through eight. The school has band, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and physical and special education departments. It provides after-school programs to improve reading, writing and math skills in students. Corvallis Middle School s media center has various sections, including reference materials, storybooks, newspapers, magazines, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and fiction and nonfiction books. The school s athletics activities include football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, track and cross country. It is a part of the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, which serves more than 24,000 students. The school is located in Norwalk, Calif.
