Founded in 1976, the East Allen Township Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency services in Northampton, Pa. Its apparatus includes ladders, engines, pumpers, tankers, cargo trailers, brush trucks, rescue vans and various utility vehicles. The department offers fire suppression, vehicle, space and agricultural rescue, and residential and commercial fire inspection services. The East Allen Township Volunteer Fire Department also provides industrial fire safety training sessions in automated external defibrillators for children. It features radio, gear, day and meeting rooms, as well as organizes crafts shows and fundraising programs. The department employs more than 10 fire officers.
