First off, the room is so musty, I immediately had to go out and buy air fresheners, and apparently bringing my luggage up the stairs is too noisy an activity.. because the phone immediately started ringing with a complaint, and it was a little noisy trying to get my luggage up the stairs since there is no elevator and no luggage cart, so I just dismiss this as a complaining person downstairs. Not to mention the floors are so rickety I imagine that it would be a little loud. I went out to see some friends and I came back, I open the door to my room and immediately walked to the bed to sit down 15 minutes later even though I had not moved from the bed, another phone call from the office complaining about noise. The guy that was calling at this point was decent about it but at the same time I would not exactly say nice. The morning of check out they called us promptly at 11 a.m. to let us know that if we were not out of the room they were going to charge us another night. It was very difficult, because there is no hair dryer and all the power cords are so far from the closest mirror that you cannot use the mirror while trying to do your hair. So I ended up having to rush out of the room with my hair soaking wet and no makeup done, the lady called us about 5 times in 45 minutes and on top of that had people knocking on our door and additional three or four more times. I have stayed in hotels in 43 states of this country. This is the absolute worst place that I have ever seen, the room isn't that bad, but the customer service is horrible, the amenities are horrible, and the room is overpriced. This is the kind of service I would expect out of a $25 a night hotel not an $80 a night hotel. The only reason I stayed at this hotel is because it's the original hotel from my hometown of woonsocket... and I do my best to support my hometown businesses. I would highly recommend spending the extra 20 or $30 and stay at the Holiday Inn that's right down the street you will thank me. I did not expect the room to be luxurious or anything, and quite frankly the rooms aren't that bad aside from the fvery musty smell of their pillows and bed linens I . I would have probably given them at 3 star review, if it wasn't for the horrible lady at the front desk. If I could give 0 stars I would. The only good thing I have to say about this place, is that the lady that cleans the rooms is actually pretty damn nice. I feel bad that she has to work in such a dump, she deserves to be a at a much nicer hotel.. last but not least.. when looking at the reviews of this hotel on google, notice that all of them are one star reviews except for one that's a five star. I guarantee you, I would bet my life and the life of everyone I love, but that review was written by the owner of the company. No one in their right mind would ever give this place higher than a 2 star review, and they would have to be feeling especially kind that day to do that. There are many more complaints I could give, such as the homeless looking guy that was insistently hitting on me when I was trying to get my stuff up into the room, and followed me around the whole damn place hitting on me... And perhaps a couple more other things. But I think you get the idea
