We have American Home Shield and were assigned this company when our AC went down. This is July in Texas and lots of AC's have issues in our upper 90, low 100's temps. The request went to AHS early Thursday morning. Normally we hear from providers within an hour or two. I had to call them late afternoon and they did not even seem to realize they had our request. Who knows how long we would have waited had I not called them. They said first available was Saturday 8-10 am but would call if anything opened up sooner. Got a call Friday morning and I hoped they had opening, but was disappointed to learn they 'made a mistake', and now would be 10-2. Saturday morning they called and said they again 'made a mistake' in evaluating the tech's schedule and now will be 4-6pm. Again I know it is a busy time, but wish they could be realistic up front so we don't build a little frustration at the changes. We got nervous about them even showing up when 5:45pm came and no word from anyone saying on the way, or they have a delay... it was 7pm when we got the call from tech that he would be here in 30mins. It turned in to a little after 8 pm...Once he arrived, he was great! Knew his stuff and what our problem was immediately... the work itself took quite a while and we truly appreciated that Nick worked until about 11:30pm before he completed everything. Sure was nice sleeping that night with AC working! Office person/scheduler person was polite but just "meh" at giving us a realistic appointment time the first time. We spent the whole day making sure someone was home, not trusting when the tech might really arrive. Nick was great and I would recommend asking for him!
