Went in today for Extreme body pains, possibly caused from anxiety, then triggering a Fibro flare up. The Doctor that cared for me showed great concern and performed all the proper testings. He requested Intravenous, then provided a form of toradol to help alleviate some of the pain. He is very knowledgeable and I greatly appreciated his compassion and professionalism. The only part of my ER visit that went wrong was the Nurse who performed the IV. She was very rough, and not caring.... she applied an adhesive that may have irritated my skin... as I made Doc aware I had an allergy to latex... and maybe the nurse did use a non latex form of adhesive to keep IV in place. Idk. Upon leaving, the IV had to be removed. The blonde nurse who removed the adhesive and IV was VERY VERY rough! Given the quality of adhesive required for holding an IV in place, I understand That it’s going to be painful during the removal process. But I feel as if she was in too big of a hurry, and removed it so poorly, it has left my right arm, and skin painful when bending my right arm. This is not acceptable. For anyone, ever. Next time I visit an ER or need IV. I will be requesting CO-ban. From viewing, I feel and see at least two hematomas, that she gave during the removal of IV... as my skin wasn’t irritated or even slightly red before removal. Also, Shari is an OUTSTANDING nurse!!!! So glad she was kind, caring and compassionate about her job. And DOC that was on the floor today at 12-4 was AMAZING!!!! I finally got relief of pain after suffering for almost 11 days now❤️💕❤️ Minus the two nurses that were in a hurry and impatient, I enjoyed the cleanliness, quick and responsive care and overall compassion of Shari and Doc ❤️

Absolutely atrocious. Last Thursday we took my 9 yr old daughter here after she tripped on some bleachers at school at broke her hand. They put it in a soft cast and sent her home w a ortho referral, bc they didn't do their job by not reducing the fracture, the ortho ended up sending us BACK to an ER (I went to Sarasota Memorial this time) to have it done. To be clear- they discharged my child with a dislocated fracture. THEN- as luck would have it- I rush my 13yr old daughter here today (simply bc she was wailing in excruciating pain & it was only 3 minutes away from her school where she hurt her hand at cheer. We waited an HOUR before they even gave my daughter motrin- she was CRYING IN PAIN since we walked through the door. They took the xray which showed 2 clean breaks straight through her hand- when I asked the RUDE nurse if that was all they could give her- she snapped at me saying "she's a child, yes, this is all we give children" like I wanted her to give my kid drugs unnecessarily- her freaking hand was BROKEN.She left the room telling me xray would be in soon- the same xrays that was ALREADY IN THERE 30MIN PRIOR! When I told her it was already done she said "oh" and walked out. AFTER ANOTHER 45MIN of watching the nurses do nothing while my kid waited for her "motrin" to work I finally walked out to the nurses station- bumping into the "doctor" on the way and asked him to come at least wrap my kids hand so I could leave and take her to Sarasota Memorial right that second. He looked perplexed and said he needed to see the xrays- that were taken OVER AN HOUR before- IN A VERY EMPTY ER- CLEARLY SHOWING THE FRACTURES- then he shows up in her room 10 min later w materials to set her hand, telling me he ordered stronger pain medication- like I was supposed to be thankful he finally felt the need to DO HIS JOB.

Dr Casebolt was a joke and the majority of that staff tonight clearly thought their social time should take priority over my 13yr old daughter.

two days ago I had to go to the ER because of a dog bite. I was cared for immediately. Dr De la Puente and the nurses were compassionate, listen, very professional, very kind, pleasant. I had to go back yesterday, Dr De la Puente came to see me, explained what was going on in very simple words (as I am french from France) and again the nurses were pleasant and professional. I wouldn't say it is a pleasure to go to the ER, but when you are welcomed the way you are at the ER Memorial Hospital North Port, you trust the staff and you heal much quicker. Thanks Dr. De la Puente and all the caregiver

I gave it a 3 only because I have been there a few times with my 2 children A couple visits deserved a negative and a couple a 4 . The worst experience ever, my daughter had her wisdom teeth removed in Tampa and had an infection and was severely dehydrated and throwing up for days. The Tampa Dr wouldn't call us back so we went to the ER when my daughter felt like dieing literally. We waited 3 hours with her crying and throwing up in the lobby. We asked if she could lay down in one of the side rooms until her name as called and they told us know. They just kept giving us new barf bags. Finally around 3am we drove to Bayfront and were seen right away. She was given 2 Ivs with fluids and antibiotics and sent home. That was all it took for her recovery and she was better in 2 days. We still got bill from North Port ER. What a joke! I live 5 minutes from the NP ER and its to bad we have to drive to Bayfront to get good service,

If I could give this ER a negative rating I would. I sat in the ER waiting room for over 5 hours vomiting and they wouldn't even look at me... Finally just went to another hospital. Faucett. Saw me within 10 minutes......do not go to this ER!!!!

I was also told to wait when there was NOONE in the waiting room before. I got frustrated & asked if this was the ER. But the worst thing about this place is trying to retrieve MEDICAL RECORDS. omg it has been 7 weeks & I still haven't gotten my medical records. They apparently mail it, which is stupid. Why not give it to me when I am there in person to sign the "release medical record paper"? Oh wait, the best part is that the front desk guy said they were never processed & he doesn't know why and he acted like getting my entire medical records was a big deal -- it was like 20 pages. Like really? Wowwwwwwww. ~Anonymous & outraged

Seriously, though, I honestly don't know if I will ever get my medical records. Ever.

never again

I came to the er with my 5 and 8 year old girls on the day afster thanksgiving. My 8 year old was running 102 fever all night. When we got to the ER at 11 am I was told it was a 45 min wait time. After 2 hrs we were told that we are next to go in. After 3 hrs I started to show my frustration to the front desk since my kids were hungry and we still haven't been seen or registered. So to keep me quite they put my kids and I in the room in the back so we sat there waiting to be seen.So then 45 min after getting to the room the doctor comes to tell me what I already know strap trot. All it took was 2 min. Really 4 hrs in the ER Just to get that. My hole think is don't tell me 45 min if you have no idea just say you don't know so I can either get ready to wait or go somewhere else.
