I hired drop shade to install shades on two very large windows at my house. I had some issues with the shades flexing and hitting my house. At first I thought it was a design flaw and later found out it was an extra frame I have on my window that was not supposed to be there in the first place. Drop shade came out and removed the shade so I can have the extra frame removed and then they are coming back to put the shade back up. At first I was upset and now I am satisfied with how drop shade went above and beyond in helping me 6 months after the shades were installed.

We are very happy with our shades. Robert was personable and friendly and definitely knows his stuff. The quote for our motorized shades was less than another company and the black-out also have a higher light blocking vs. the other ones we were looking at. Robert was punctual and also returned for a 2nd visit since I didn't see samples the first visit and my husband had some questions. He took his time answering questions, etc.

There were only two negatives. The first was with scheduling. Robert told me he could come after 3:30 because that's when I get off work, or on a Saturday, when he first came out, but then when I was scheduling over email with Crystal, I couldn't have that option even after I pointed out to her that Robert had told me this, so my husband had to work from home. Just a small bump but a little disappointing.

The first time Robert came out he didn't offer to show me the Imagine black-out fabrics. I wouldn't have known about the option unless I didn't see it online first. There was also some miscommunication at first with the colors.

In spite of the small bumps I would definitely use this company again and we are extremely happy so far with the performance and installation of the shades(very strong). I would only ask for a little more scheduling flexibility in the future or following through with the initial time you say you'll be available. :)

I am sure my neighbors were happy when they saw DROPSHADES van parked in front of our place. Our house's windows are fairly large and we have been living without window coverings for over couple of weeks!!! Haha... no more free shows :)

Joey was very helpful choosing the type of shades. I was looking at the standard pull chain shade and my favorite was the motorized. When Joey came for the estimate, he wrote the price for each windows for both shade types so that I can compare prices for each kind of shades and mix and match if I wanted to. I ended up with getting the motorized shades for all the windows but it was very helpful to see what options I had.

I researched online for other companies and so I had good idea on the average price, and Joey's price was very reasonable, and best part is that Joey assisted with meeting the electrician and I was able to come to the factory and get a better feel for the fabric as they had much bigger pieces there!

We ordered the following week and Joey and his crew came to install shortly after. Installation took a few days for the electrical and everything. Joey is more on the old fashion side on estimate and invoices (he'll hand write them for you), but very VERY personable and his response was pretty good. I am so happy that I chose DROPSHADE!

I did a lot of research before choosing a company for the interior shades in our new home. My husband and I are really happy that we chose Chris and Joey.

We have a brand new home and needed a lot of window shades. We already had an idea of what we wanted and my husband wanted them to be mounted in a particular way. Chris was very knowledgeable about everything and was very patient in explaining how the shades should be mounted correctly. He even came back for a second consultation when we changed our minds for the 10th time. We followed his advice and were not disappointed. Joey was also great. The installation looks perfect and very professional. They were both very personable.

The ONLY reason we decided on 4 stars instead of 5 is because their business hours are standard hours which is a little difficult for us. We had to take time away from work in order to be home for the consultation and installation.

That said, we were so happy with the result that we purchased shade for additional windows after the first installation. We are pretty set on our shades now but if we move for any reason we will be calling them again!

Would rate ZERO (0) if I was able to.

I strongly recommend that you AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. Being a customer of DropShade has been one of the absolute worst experiences of my life as a consumer.

I ordered 6 windows to have interior motorized shades ranging from $1,000-$2,000 + per window - two (2) of which were large windows floor to ceiling. You would think that after spending thousands and thousands of dollars on window covers, the company would be a little more professional. After two weeks, the FIRST installation happened. However, it was only about 30% completed somehow. Over the next 6 weeks, as I waited for the install to be completed, cords still were hanging from the top of the drop boxes off the wall, the drop boxes were not installed flush with the wall and were tilting down (looking terribly), one large window wasn't even started (just lables on the wall with blue tape), to a name a few things.

On week 9, the final installation day was to happen. The company brought out the wrong materials and had to leave once again without completing. They did return again later the same day, however they installed one large window wrong and didn't fix the issue - it looks absolutely ridiculous and terrible.

Also, workers said, "We're done" and left. Upon checking to see if each window was finished and installed properly myself, I hit button to have shades go down and one window, jammed up immediately, as it was installed wrong.

INSTALLATION has to continue the FOLLOWING DAY. Will it ever end at this point?

If you are a customer, looking for high end window coverings in your house, you should ONLY call DropeShade if you:

A) want to wait months and months to get the product you pay thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars for.

B) You are OK with having installation conducted wrong.

C) You don't care about the quality of work done to your home. You are OK with the boxes and tracks being installed with "dings" "nicks" and "scratches" and pieces hanging off the walls that shouldn't be.

D) You enjoy beyond awful customer service, dealing with a company who really doesn't care about its customer's satisfaction.

If you decide to purchase from them, good luck - you have been officially warned. This is by far the worst company that I have worked with as a homeowner. Completely OVERPRICED for the below average quality of work.

We just moved into a home and it already had some manual interior shades so we called around because we wanted to see if the shades could be switched to motorized. Chris showed up who was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. He took apart our existing shades and rebuilt them with electric motors. He hid the wiring and even did some mild sheetrock repair where he had to make a few holes to fish the wire through the walls. The best part is it didn't cost us an arm and a leg like I thought it would. We called around beforehand and it seemed that no one wanted to do this type of work, but DropShade sent somebody out right away and did the work right there on the spot. We will be adding more shades in the near furure and will defenately be using DropShade again.

I called DropShade this morning and asked for info and a quote. Their rep, Robert, took a bit of information from me about the application and said he'd be happy to come to my home to discuss the job. He then asked if I was married, and upon my affirmative response, suggested he come out this afternoon to meet with me and my husband. As we already had plans, I suggested he come by during the week. He hesitated, and suggested late Monday pm. I replied Tues after lunch was better for me. He then asked if my husband would be available then, too, as he wanted both of us there when he came out; stating that my husband would think of questions that might not occur to me. He then suggested I email him photos of the arbor needing the shade & we could discuss the job based on the photos, and he could come out when my husband was available.

Ladies - don't bother calling this company. They're only interested in doing business with people who happen to have penises.

Had them come out to rescreen a couple of sun screens. They did a great job and the fabric they used was much better than we had before. We may have them finish the rest of the house in the near future. Chris the installer was very funny and professional. You could see he enjoyed his job. He even fixed a couple of bent frames that we had and didn't charge us any extra for the labor.

I have a patio which faces wes...

I have a patio which faces west in the afternoon/evening. There is no shade so I had DropShade come and give me an estimate. Even though the price seemd a little high to me, I went ahead andt had them do the shades because of the quality. They gave a 3 week estimate of completion, and it was done in that amount of time. I gave a lower grade to responsiveness because during the installation, they started to install it on the outside of the patio with the wind up outside. I wanted it on the inside. When I expressed that it should be inside, they told me that they couldn't do that because they had already drilled some holes, and could not put it inside. They had drilled 3 holes so I told them to caulk it and put the shade inside.I called the salesman, and told him that having the wind up on the outside was unacceptable. He told me that it was safer that way, There was no diifference on the installation....that the measurements were the same inside or out. They ended up doing it as I wanted.

I am however very happy with the new drop shades and would recommend them to others. Just make sure that you have them mark the exact spot where you want the shades and how you want to operate them. In other words, not the general area. This is where I made the mistake. I thought that they would know that you don't want to go outside to roll up the shade. I did mention this to the salesman when came for estimate and also to the person that came and did the final measurements. But somehow, because the marks were on the outside of the patio structure the installer was confused.

The Best Shade Company in Las ...

The Best Shade Company in Las Vegas. For sometime now I have been researching about shades for my home. My neighbors bought Dropshades and absolutely love them. I had 4 quotes and Dropshade was one of them. They were very helpful and respectful of my home and made me feel comfortable. I could see a significant difference in the products all of the companies offered, and I decided to buy shades from Dropshade because they looked the best. I liked how I could watch them build my shades right at their factory. I also liked their side tracking on the shades. I've had my Dropshades now for a couple of weeks and my patio looks like a great little room. I am amazed how well they operate. Thank you Dropshade!

Truly inept.

Arranged an appointment for 2pm on a Tuesday. No one showed up, or even called.

Then at 3.30pm on Wednesday (the following day) I receive a call from a guy called Shaun apologizing that he missed the appointment TODAY! So, not only did he miss the original appointment but he missed the wrong one.

Laughably bad. If these guys aren't competent enough to keep an appointment then I doubt they could be trusted to fit blinds.

Dropshades was by FAR the best I shopped around with many other retailers when I was looking for roll shades. But Dropshades had the best product, and service by FAR. These negative reviews below were probably written by one of their competitors. Just check Dropshade out. The proof is in the pudding..

We have had these shades for the past two summers. They work as well now as they did when they were first installed. With the eastern and western exposure on our windows, the Dropshades were absolutely the best investment we made for our new home. Not only did it protect our furniture from the sun, but, it actually cooled down our home during the hot summer months.

Company is very poorly run. I ...

Company is very poorly run. I had them installed automated solar screens on my two large windows they were approx. 10'X16'. I was told that i shouldn't have to worry about wind because the screens were up against the house. The day of the install I came out to see how it was going and the screens were flopping around in the wind. Probably 5-10 mph, I asked if there was anything to do to stop that from happening, not really was the answer i was given. So i called the manager at the office and he acted like a little child when i told him about the problem and that i wanted it fixed. I spent $6000 on these and no customer service or any felt obligation from the company to fix the problem. I ended up having to make adjustments on my own because they wanted to charge me to fix the problem.

Because of the large size of my windows there method doesn't work. The span of the large windows requires there be tension on the screen. They do the same product and install regardless the size of the screen. The sales person at no point ever mentioned that i would have this problem because my windows were so big. Even after i specifically asked about wind i was told i have nothing to worry about.

Very poorly managed company, good luck if you ever have any problems with there product or install. Oh i almost forgot to mention the installers left trash and scrap material all over my property aswell.

The absolute WORST "Company" in Vegas!!!

If I could give them a 0 star rating, I would. The most unreliable bunch I have ever dealt with. Try to get a hold of a Supervisor or Owner...GOOD LUCK.

They do not keep their appointments. They also go by a couple different names in the listings and advertisements, so be careful.

I am glad that they did not show up...(3 times, by the way), so I ended up going with a very reputable company, who showed up on the first scheduled appointment like a TRUE professional!!!!

trash talk

I saw them at the Home Show this weekend and all they did was trash talk other companies. Not very ethical especially if you're looking for new customers. Would not recommend.

Not reliable

It is not surprising that the Drop Shade company has a dispatch and no direct line to a supervisor. They are unreliable and do not keep their scheduled appointments. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

Shades Work Great!

Dropshade did a fantastic job installing our custom shades on our patio. No longer do we need to go inside when the evening sun comes around. We have such a wonderful backyard and now we enjoy dinners on our patio. The drop shades work great helping block the wind too and just make our entire patio much more comfortable.
