Founded in 2010 by Artistic Director Shannon Hunter McConville. SBC is a Richmond based ballet company, whose emphasis is on creating a balance between fresh contemporary ideals and the beauty and grace of classical ballet. We explore this fusion by creating new movement and original choreography. Our mission is to provide exceptional dance performances, lecture demonstrations and community outreach programs. We strive to be a powerful force in our Richmond communities and beyond. The Stavna Ballet Company was created so that local artists could find a place to create and express themselves through the art of dance. We also collaborate with other local artist and non-profits to cultivate various programs.
