My child attended Here They Grow Nursery and Preschool for a few months in 2017. I learned after he had been there a few months that they were not having him sleep in the pack and play but instead let him sleep in the swings or rock and play. They have no cribs only pack and plays which are rarely used. I was told by a teacher that they are required by law to have them sleep in the pack and plays and was given paper work on the first day reiterating that, but I feel I was only told what I wanted to hear. The room was very disorganized often times I couldn't find where my son's diapers or spare clothes were to replenish them.

There was many occasions where the Director would tell me she "She meant to call me" about certain things with my child. One time I was told at 3:30pm that my child could not return without a doctors note. I was lucky to have enough time to get into the doctors that afternoon and as usual the issue they were worried as nothing. However if there was actual issues, I would not be told until the end of the day.

On Halloween The room was so chaotic. My child was being held by an older woman whose perfume was so strong I had to give him a bath when we got home. This woman was a complete stranger and I have no idea who she was or if she even worked for the daycare. The infant room was understaffed as often times the teacher who was there at 6:30 am in the morning was also there at 4:00 pm in the afternoon.

In my child's last two weeks at the daycare I had a long conversation with the owner regarding a few issues we had. She told me she spoke to all of the staff and that we would check in again to make sure things were improving. Things did not change over the next week. After my experience there I would not recommend this daycare. His teachers were nice and I know they were doing their best considering the lack of management, but overall we did not have a good experience.

My daughter has been going to Here They Grow since it opened one year ago, and has loved every minute.

The staff rocks, and is wonderful with the children.

It is nice to have piece of mind while I am at work that my child is being well taken care of.
