In 1956, when Elmer Karl opened the first Karl’s TV in Gregory, South Dakota, televisions were just making their way into households, customers expected great service and businesses stood behind the products they sold because it was the right thing to do.

Since then many things have changed but at Karl’s our commitment to exceptional customer service and satisfaction has remained the same. Karl’s was founded on these easy to say, yet tough to deliver on principles. It is our commitment to these principles that allows us to grow and remain competitive year after year. At Karl’s we value every customer and community we serve.

Through our expansive buying group relationships we are able to be competitively priced on a daily basis. Howver, the kicker at Karl’s is simple: We truly service what we sell with our own dedicated staff of technicians, who are equipped to get the job done right. After being in business for over 50 years, we here at Karl’s know what is most important to us…….and that is YOU!

How many days can a household of 7 go without doing laundry? Karl's service has challenged us to find out. Our under-warranty dryer has been "fixed" 4 times in the last couple of weeks, without ever working! Not only does the technician fail to fix the problem, but he cannot show up when scheduled or communicate with us if he isn't going to be around when he originally says he will be. Saying you will be there and not showing up or calling is wonderful for those with busy work/life schedules (again, household of 7). Very upset with the lack of service provided by this business. Still don't have a working dryer, still determining how long we can go without doing laundry as well as how many more hours we will have to miss from work for appointments where nobody shows up.

Appliance from Karls

The salesman was great, very helpful and informative. The prices for the appliances I needed came in at $2,000 under what I had budgeted for based on searching multiple other retailers! It is a great place to shop.

Very competitive pricing

We have made several purchases here, and always found the pricing to be competitive with Twin City Metro pricing. Even compared to the big chains.
