Had a hog butchered at Mcnees, all smoked meat was bad, not smoked long enough or at right temp to cure meat, Rotted on thawing. Called numerous time and blown off by this business. Never again will I trust my families welfare to this business.

April of 2014 I purchased a farm grown local beef and had it processed (cut and wrapped) at McNees meat inc. I was born and raised on a dairy farm, I do know a little bit a on processing. My beef was not an old fat cow, it weighed in at less than 1300 pounds, needless to say the cutting was horrible, I have never seen so much fat ground into hamburger, left on steak ,nothing but fat on beef short ribs, roast hardly trimmed . I have over 600 lbs of beef in my freezer loaded with un trimmed cuts... I will never use your business again and I will make sure I will get the word out. When I picked up my beef I was rudely treated, , beef was brought out into parking lot on a 4 layer cart and left to me to load into my truck, thankful it wasn't raining or 20 degrees out and I had my husband with me, we are not young folks but not in wheel chairs yet... Hopefully people will see this post and stay away from McNees.. Should not even rate a rating....

I had a hog butcher at Mcnees Meats and I picked it up it was frozen and packaged nicely. When I went to bake the smoked meats the hams and smoked ham steaks were all rotting Gray/green in appearance. I contacted the store and was told they would pull my bill and get back with me. Well they never did and after 4 calls and left messages it became apparent that McNees Meats isn't professional or mature enough to have a conversation about the subject.Refusing to return my calls. The meat must of been under smoked or at wrong temp. I recommend you search for a more professional business for your needs. They have had other problem also. Again bad meat. A place that refuses to call you back about something that could of made the family very sick or worst should be avoided. I'm being very fair to them with this review, it is exactly as it happened.
