Waitress brought check to table, laid it on the table, stepped back, and stood by, like she was hovering over the table afraid that we might skip without paying. Explained that the person to pay for check had gone to the restroom, and would be right back. My wife finally went ahead and paid the check. The waitress took the money, and brought change. The person who was paying came back from restroom wanting to know why we paid; Not acceptable behavior of waiting staff.
