Don't bother wasting your time...

Don't bother wasting your time. This guy runs a very shady business. He tells a customer one thing, then does something completely different.

I ordered a fiber glass door with glass from this guy, and got a Steel Skinned door with glass. He charged me the fiberglass price, and pocketed the difference.

Since he didn't make enough profit by switching the 2 types of doors, he proceeded to charge me an extra $175 for a lock set witch was supposed to be included in the installation of the door . When confronted, he told me that the installation does not include installing a lock on the door, drilling the door, nor the hardware. The switch of the door type, was one thing, but then blatantly trying to steal money from me was too much. I contacted my credit card company, and they credited me back my $175. The guy is a weasel. Stay away.

To the consumer this particular door was the toughest door we had constructed in many years. The insulated glazing had wrought iron work built into the glass work making it a very heavy door, door manufacturer said the only way they would construct this door would be in a steel skinned constructed door, not fiberglass as scheduled, and I told customer this well before it was made, this door was specially made for customer to please him, after 4 months of not finding a door to his liking. Customer said in beginning security was important to him and his family, keeping this in mind when I asked him what he would like for lock set and deadbolt set, he said nothing to expensive, so we purchased a set for him for $160.00 dollars and he said that was much too expensive, and he went out and purchased one for approx. $80.00, keep in mind that he invested $3,000.00 into door and was concerned about security, I rest my case. In closing our business is 68 years young, my Dad started it in 1944, I went to work for him in 1970, and purchased it from my Dad in 1981 when he retired. The most important part of our business is the customer service we provide, we take great pride in it. Most of the companies we serve in New England we have had for over 40 years, and we would be glad to provide anyone with information to contact any of these companies to verify our service record. In closing I would like to thank Ed for his business, and hope you and your family are enjoying the wonderful door you purchased.
