I have purchased over 100 A/C units from allied over the past few years through A second party company who did all my installations. the owner passed away last fall and never got to complete the last unit he was installing after finishing the electrical was finished and unit was started up, it had problems from the beginning. Unit would run for a few seconds then condenser sounded as if it was going to explode. Tried getting help through Allied and their tech support , could not get any help except to say we could purchase some parts that their tech said would work. The outside contractor that is trying to help get it repaired under warranty cannot get anywhere with them either. We have contacted rheem without any response back. .I find it hard to believe that you can pay so much for units but cant get any help insuring that they work properly. Once out the door it seems as though the customer is on their own.I and have always done my own repairs and never filed a claim
