I made a special trip to Adams Shoe Store today on Warwick Blvd. It seems that the employees there either dislike selling shoes or dislike people. I browsed the store looking for styles in my size for about 10 minutes without anyone asking me if I needed assistance. Two of the employees made me feel as if I were in their way, while they passed right in front of me. One other emloyee was standing behind the counter socializing with a customer, while a second employee was finalizing the sale. The store was not busy and there were a total of 4 employees working the floor. I was the only customer looking for shoes. It didn't leave me with a very positive impression of their highly prestigeous shoe store. As I walked out the door, the sales associate from across the way said, "Have a nice day". Do they treat all their customers this way? Was it because I was a newie to the store? Could it have been the way I was dressed? If so, I would rather shop at Payless then deal with their insensitive manners.
