Our church booked a group tour to the Holy Lands for October 2019. Widely forecast extreme weather in New York caused a delay for the flight from New York to Miami that was supposed to take us to New York for our international connection. There were 13 other, on-time available flights from Miami to New York. Zehnder Travel/Luther Tours/Christian Travel Planners did absolutely nothing to re-book our tickets when Delta announced their flight delay at 2 am. There was plenty of time to re-book our flights. Even though Zehnder booked all the group tickets, we were told it was the responsibility of each individual in the group to make their own arrangements in the event of a delay or cancellation. The trip was aborted. 26 travelers lost an entire day at the airport being told the Zehnder was working on alternative flights when in fact there were no options after 8 am in the morning. Zehnder keep every dollar of our ground tour fees and even kept refunds from their Israeli partners issued to them because of the aborted trip. I do not recommend that you book group travel or group events with this company. They are not trustworthy and appear incapable of performing very fundamental travel agency tasks like rescheduling flights in the event of extreme weather delays.
